It was the tradition at SHA for students
to head each of their papers with the abbreviation AMDG for the Latin
phrase "Ad Majoram Dei Gloriam", which translates "For the
greater glory of God". This act of heading each of the papers was intended
to symbolize and remind the students that all they do each hour and each day of
their lives should be done for the greater glory of our God. It seemed
appropriate that this tradition should be continued in the SHA web site and
thus the background design for this web page.
This web site is dedicated to the alumni,
teachers, families and friends associated with Sacred Heart Academy, and to St.
Marys Parish, Helena. The school no longer exists physically, but will remain a
vital part of our lives.
It is with loving memories and sincere
appreciation that we present this tribute to the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth for the
excellence in education that they provided. As you tour the various sections of
our now virtual school you will learn of its rich heritage and the effect it
had on its students' futures.
The SHA web site was begun in October,
1999 and will go through continuous updates, changes, and improvements. So come
back often, and let others know about the web site.
We encourage you to visit the Guest Book
section to sign the register, and to view the comments left by previous
visitors to the web site.
If you are a former student, teacher, or
associate of Sacred Heart Academy, please send an
