Sacred Heart Academy School Reunion:
I have waited so long to be able and have the opportunity to attend a class reunion of Sacred Heart Academy and now I won't be able to go because of recent medical problems.
I will always believe that this would a be a better world if more people could attend a school such as Sacred Heart Academy. It not only teaches the ABC's but the moral character it instills in a person. When they go down the river of life it's a treasure to behold. One does not realize at the time but later in life its a true blessing. If I were a literary person I could elaborate on this subject a lot more but in school -1-2-3 were my best loved subjects.
Should Pat Bell, Sr. attend just ask him if he still remembers the 12" ruler Sister Clara Cina used to have? This may ring some bells.
To the people responsible for this reunion they sure deserve a great round of applause for their efforts and time in putting this all together. It's a wonderful thing they are doing. Our hats off to them!
I still have hanging in my clothes closet my Sacred Heart Academy football jacket, "The Trojans". Sure brings back memories when I see it. Yes, we did have a football team then, and I must say a pretty good one.
I still receive the Helena World and follow the local events that are happening from the paper. My, how times have changed.
We sure could use more schools of education like Sacred Heart Academy. Character building is such a great and important thing as one grows older in life.
I sure regret I will miss this opportunity to be part of the reunion, but please have a wonderful one.
Sincerely,
William L. "Cotton" Cushman
